LIfting an 09 JK

We would like to lift our Rubicon about 4" or so. Any suggestions on where to get it done. I don't have the technical ability or tools to do it myself so looking for a reputable wrench to do it. Still thinking about taller tires to get some height too. Maybe I won't need as high a lift then. Any thoughts? Would like to get it done prior to going to Moab at the end of April.

Comments

Jeep said the lift was no problem and would not automatically void the warranty. UNLESS, the lift was the cause of the break or malfunction. Parts failing because they were defective are still covered. Unless of course they can tie it to the lift. Thanks for all the comments. I do live near Santa Fe in Highlands Ranch so I will check out All American. I've had another recommendation on High Country also. I'll also check out 4 Wheel Parts and compare them all. Thanks much.

Hi Keith!

How's things going with your Rubi lift?

Keith,

I agree with Charlie that All American on Sante Fe does good work. They put the 2-1/2" lift and rear ARB lockers on our Liberty in 2007 and we haven't had any trouble with either. They're close by and gave us good advice when doing the work. Best wishes and good luck. See ya soon!

Hi Keith,

You should contact Jeep and ask them what you can and can't do to your rig without affecting the warranty. If they're cool with a 4" lift, go for it!

Hey Kieth,
If you live near littleton, I would suggest All American 4 wheel drive and Auto Repair.  They do great work and have done a lot of work on my Jeep.  The owner is a good friend of mine his name is Steve Dudden.  They recently put my auto trans and terra low kit into my cj.  They do lifts and pretty well anything eles you need done.

Hello Keith,I have had work done by 4 Wheel parts on Peoria and High Country Perfrmance 4X4 and I am very happy with High Country Performance 4X4. They do an excellent job and follow up to ensure you are happy. I deal with Brady Lehr (blehr@hcp4x4.com) 303-761-7379

Good luck with the lift and have fun out there.

Not sure where you live but I had mine done at 4x4 Parts off Peoria and I-70.  I've heard good things about High Country as well if you live on the west side of town.  I now have 35" tires with and OME 2.5" suspension lift.  I like it a lot and checked to make sure it wouldn't rub but it's real close.  I might add a 1" body lift just for the added peace of mind.  Of course it would have been cheaper to do that at the same time as the lift.
If you live on the east side of town you are more than welcome to check mine out.
